Bumblebee Distinguendus
Please welcome 'Bumblebee distinguendus' (Bombus distinguendus) more commonly known as the Great Yellow bumblebee; we have tried to keep the colouring of this lovely bee as close to its natural colouring as possible. The background colouring reflects the striations of Lewisian Gneiss, the igneous bedrock that forms outcrops in the areas where the bee lives.
As with our other bumblebee soaps, 20% of the sale price goes directly to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. Thee Great Yellow bumblebee is one of our rarest bumblebees; once widespread across the UK, it is now restricted to just a few areas in the far north of the country, notably Orkney and the Outer Hebrides where its last stronghold is on the machair.
As well as our usual lashings of olive and sunflower oils, shea and cocoa butters, we have added beautiful organic golden jojoba oil and given the soap a lovely unisex earthy-citrus aroma, courtesy of bergamot, grapefruit, cypress and vetivert essential oils. Additionally, Bumblebee Distinguendus is vegan-friendly.

Shampoo Bar – Grapefruit and May Chang
This is a soap-free shampoo bar that may also be used for beards and all-over body use.
It is simple to use: either rub the bar over wet hair to generate a lather, or rub the bar between hands and transfer the lather onto the hair. Rinse off as one would a standard shampoo.
We provide the shampoo bar in a drawstring cotton bag that may be hung up in the shower. The shampoo bar will sit quite happily in the bag when not being used.
The price is for one bar in its drawstring bag.

Spa Bar
We love this bar! As well as nearly 60% extra virgin olive oil, this also boasts lots of shea butter, cold pressed hemp oil, organic avocado oil and wheatgerm oil. Swirled into all that are powdered kelp and spirulina, green tea, aloe vera, Tussah silk, kaolin, Illite and Rhassoul clays, Dead Sea mud, Dead Sea salt, Himalayan pink salt, coarse sea salt and goat milk yogurt. The uplifting aroma comes from a delicious essential oil blend that includes lemongrass, rosemary, cedarwood and maychang and the inclusion of sea salt provides a mild exfoliating effect.
Who needs to go to a spa when the spa can come to you?
